Osunlade whose real name is Jerry Rodriguez, is from St. Louis, Missouri. He is a multi-instrumentalist, vocalist and DJ who started out composing for Sesame Street. He also runs the Yoruba record label. He has recorded numerous records himself. This recording is from 2013 his 7th full length release. He uses more than 30 instruments and includes guest musicians. Each of the songs stands on its own, although listening to all of them is sequence is like a journey. There are elements of soul, ambient, jazz, and funk. There are even Latin and African elements.
