Album Review
Simone, Nina – “Four Women: The Nina Simone Philips Recordings” – [Verve Music Group, The]
Cousin Mary 1/12/2009 CD, Jazz
4 CDs with 75 tracks from 7 LPs and 1 45-rpm recorded by NS from 1964 to 1966 for Philips records. Although some arrangements sound a little dated, many tracks are absolutely spectacular. No one could sing like NS, a voice with vibrato never equaled or imitated. NS also fine piano on most tracks.
Jazz: My favorite tracks, other notes:

CD3: 1, 2,3(piano interesting),10(vocal only),13,15.19-21
