Dagons, The – “Upon The Dull Earth” – [Dead Sea Captain Records]
The songs on this CD have an edge to them–they are intense and reminiscent of haunting folk songs (maybe it’s due to Drew Kowalski’s sitar). Other times the guitar and vocals of Karie Jacobson give them a more simple rock feel (7 and 9 are good examples of this). Any way you slice it, though, there is enough variety on this release to find something to your liking.
