Bonus Beast + Dental Work + Nerfbau [coll] – [Placenta Recordings]

cinder   5/21/2012   A Library, CD

First seven short tracks are from Bonus Beast, hailing from Oakland. Their sound is part electronics, part video game, and part experimental. Computer sounding blips, while crunching malfunctioning dot matrix’s print their last page. A bit on the noisy end, but never dull, always adding in some spice to keep you hot. The last 2 lengthy tracks are from Dental Work (Jay Watson, who runs Placenta Recordings), and the final from Nerbau (duo of sound artists out of Oakland). Dental Work will blow your brain right out your ears. Loud fucked up electronic heaviness mixed with various rap and pop clips. Get dirty and crunked with that one – three worlds collide together into one dark noise fest (beware the Katy Perry mousy vocals tossed in!) Nerbau gets dark in nature as well. Distorted vocals with deep murky electronics.
