Album Review
Void – “No Sudden Movements” – [Minus Records]
cinder 5/21/2012 A Library, CD
Jon Gaiser is the man behind Void. He recorded most of this during the dark, cold months of Berlin and it translates very well into what you hear. Very chilled ambient electronic sounds, reminiscent of dreary rainy days. Mellow and sparse, with an un-danceable beat. The whole album has a very cohesive feel, a few more optimistic, like playful jello aliens and their keyboards. Void is a fine one word description, this would fill the space where there is no sound quite nicely.
