Jenkins, LA – “Clarity of The Peculiar” – [Edgetone Records]
LA Jenkins leads on guitar. Martin Ripple and Anthony Jacobs add brass, flute and percussion in this improvised sound fest. Electro-acoustic progressive modern jazz that pulls back to something sort of kind of familiar just often enough. Very dreamy and moody, engaging. Avant grade and really out there, but not abrasive.
