The ‘Troubled Machinery’ in this Volume, (lucky no. 13, no less), is the dying MPC 2000. As it descended the spiral strairs at the end of it’s journey, random freezes and sequencing would occur, eliminating compositions, samples, while also spazzing inspirational and genius material. Leb Laze embraced the inevitable death of it’s core production tool. Leb Laze, Ryan ‘Raj’ Rasheed, featuring a few tracks mixed by Guillermo S. Herren, used no less than the best of these moments to create compositions for Asthmatic Kitty‘s series, Library Catalog Music. LCM, is instrumental music composed for the possible use in film, television, meditation, relaxation, and even radio play. Suggestions include listening during activites like.. “cuddling, car chases, planning the rest of our life, of which this is the first day.” I say play and enjoy listening back to your mix.
