Yip-Yip/2Up [coll] – [Saf Records]
ophelia necro 3/17/2010 7-inch, A Library
This is a split 7″ between Orlando based electro duo Yip-Yip and a Japanese noise/spazz rock duo 2Up.
Side A- Yip-Yip encorporates Korg MS-10, Micromoog, Roland JP-8000, Roland SP-808, Novation K-Station, Casio VL-Tone, Line 6 Filter and the Digitech Vocal 300. Recorded in Aug/Sept of 2004. It’s a 5m and 23s trippy, electro dance number. Sounds like creepy retro video game music.
Side B- is guitar and drums with spastic bursts of vocals in Japanese. 8 songs in all on the 2Up side! Short chaotic chunks of noise/rock.
