Dr. Mint – “Visions and Nightmares ” – [Pfmentum]

Dr. Mint is an acronym formed by the initials of the band member???s last names. This quintet (trumpet, sax, drums, guitar and bass guitar) has elements of free jazz but the electric guitar and bass give it a rock flavor.
This completely improvised, unedited recording is dark and menacing at times, extremely interesting and well played. I found ???Apocalyptica??? more approachable than ???Visions and Nightmares??? but liked them both.
