When I talked to Norm at the Surf Guitar 101 convention this summer, he spoke of getting away from horror surf (The Ghastly Ones) and doing an homage to the great tradition of hot rod surf. All tracks are composed by this SoCal band and they incorporate effects such as fuzz and reverb, car sounds associated with drag racing, and excellent playing. Fun, fun, fun – nothing subtle here!
