Keszler, Eli – “Eli Keszler ” – [Rel]

Max Level   4/9/2007   A Library, CD

Abstract-type soundscapes, quite enjoyable. Keszler plays everything, cooking up three long untitled tracks, likely improvised and then overdubbed with more improvisations. Tracks 1 and 3 are about electric guitars, heavy on tremolo, and percussion. Track 1 uses a drum kit and other hittable things to make scattered percussive sounds, and Track 3 delves more into full-on, super-energetic drum kit action. Pulsing guitars hover throughout those two tracks. Track 2 is different; it???s longer and more gentle, with floating sustained notes on the Rhodes and ringing metal bowls and bells, and (I think) some bowed cymbals as well. Meditative and nice.
