Serious weirdos from 2011 NorCal Noisefest, or as we at KFJC
know them : good friends and family! All in nice 3 minute doses,
just rub on your ears and let the fun start. For instance (#7)
Overdose The Katatonic offers the voice of a guy losing control
in the animal lab. Hypnotic Injection (#21) knows how spooky kids
are especially when in reverb chambers, that track has sci-fi
psycho-tronix fun lost in the hoverbeam. Xdugef (#14) has some
monster tunneling into a game show or a 60’s movie? Cartoon
Justice (#19) killed my Tasmanian Road-Runner expectations for
a melding of rock/fusion jam squirrelled inside a tunnel. Plenty
of other kinder, gentler noise, like burblings of Orbless (#10),
Chopstick (#3) and Medicine Cabinet (#12) Venetian Veil (#9)
offers a sweet abandoned spaceship drone. Instagon (#17) stumbles
on a bassist’s song. Good ol’ Endometrium Cuntplow (#5) is
strangely calming, both in fury and resolution. Laurie Amat
(#20) eavesdrops on an Italian class in the engine room.
