Glochids – “Originals” – [Weird Ear]
abacus 10/8/2014 12-inch, A Library
hodgepodge assortment of fractured vignettes, elusive allusions of some semblance of day-to-day from Tempe’s James Roemer, succulent field researcher, gamelan experimentalist, cross country cyclist, and bricoleur extraordinaire. abstract snippets of instrumental wanderings set over layerings of odd field recordings. guitars pianos toys bubble wrap? an array of ticklings slither about recordings from the Sonoran Desert to snowy Wisconsin and all over South America, surely a handy tape recorder to accompany many a long distance bicycle voyage. objectified dream states to lull awake your subconsious memories of mundane existence. drift listlessly in the ear of the beholder.
