Heasley, Tom – “Where The Earth Meets The Sky ” – [Hypnos Recordings]

Max Level   10/1/2006   A Library, CD

Nothing too complicated about this. Ambient music with weight and shape to it. Large, slow-moving drones, based on the low, resonant frequencies of Heasley’s tuba. Recorded, mixed, and mastered by Robert Rich…

Gorgeous, centered tuba sound. Makes me want to get mine out again ... Does he do any multiphonic playing on the album? Thanks for playing it, Grawer.

I haven't seen a specific mention of Tom using multiphonic techniques, but no doubt he can tell you how he makes those beautiful sounds. drop a line to tom@tomheasley.com
