Twist yer skull off turntablism from Eddie
Def, who has played a couple of KFJC gigs
in the past. You know I have this weird
disease such that when I see a great player
on his/her instrument, especially when s/he
hits a intense/difficult bit of playing, I
just bust up. Mostly out of a you-got-to-be-
kidding-me sense of wonder. This maximix has
about 100 of those moments just based on
sound alone…as fast as Eddie can fly over
vinyl and back again, his mind is five beats
ahead. At least Samplophiles will swoon over
the unearthing of rare (and more common)
grooves…and some great incongruous moments
to boot. What previously could only be done
to ears in a Bill Plimpton cartoon is now
Eddie Def’s territory. Makes Jai-alai look slow,
