On June 6th 2012 David Lucien Matheke stared at the sun to see the Venus Transit. He almost stared too long. This recording is the result of nearly blinding himself. 3 powerful tracks of throbbing electrocution and visceral decibel decimation. The first track is the gentlest, industrial loop glitch itching at a buzzing drone that won’t go away. Serrated edges tear through steel flesh and set off alarms in all corners, Phasing In and out of that persistent itch. Staring at the Sun might as well be the title track; a blustering meditative blunderbuss, a melodic maelstrom of searing cacophony. Static eruptions of molten fire set off all alarms but you can’t look away. When all hope is lost, Blurred and Obscured leaves you blind beneath the avalanche of blister and crumble. An all consuming void of ambient anguish that sinks into self-soothing sighs and moans. PGM LAST MINUTE IS SILENT. Silence is the harshest sound of all…
