Album Review
Hill, Andrew – “Time Lines ” – [Blue Note]
Airy, spacious jazz from pianist Hill and his cohorts on trumpet, reeds, bass, and drums. Hill’s brand of jazz features thoughtful composition (he wrote everything here) and careful arrangements. His music is well-played by the group, and there are nice solo spots by all involved. This kind of jazz is good when you’re in the mood to retreat a bit, maybe on a Sunday afternoon. At least that’s when it sounded best to me.

I totally agree - but why wait until Sunday afternoon? Why not start your retreat on Saturday evening with a loved one?

Chill the wine, put on the pensive quintet version of "Malachi" ~ and the timing couldn't be more perfect.
