In The End It Biteth Like an Adder – “S/t” – [Clell Miller CD-R Label]

abacus   6/4/2013   A Library, CD

Nebulous trio of local sound destructionists surface with this rehearsal recording from earlier this year put out on the Clell Miller CD-R label (see James-Younger Gang). Cyberactive drones drift into nuclear fallout dub like smoke, carrying collages of shadowy voices and looped samples crumbling into static and rubble. The beats are steady but offset, like locked-groove record scratch voyeurism of brain swirling disco train rattling, gurgling into gunked-up funk and erratic horror-hop. Sinister and infectious glitched rhythms to lure you into a narcotic and serrated haze.
