Ellie and Bill Sims are a father and daughter from Jacksonville, Florida who produce some very intriguing surf music, very much stretching the definition of that term. Their harmonies have a dissonance that is not typical – nor is their use of synth (try track 3). Perhaps the fact that they actually surf gives this recording more dimensions. Tracks vary from bouncy (1), rocking (3), to poignant (4). Prepare yourself to experience much more complex emotions than you usually do when you listen to surf.
