KTL – “V” – [Editions Mego]

The 5th release from Stephen O’Malley and Peter Rehberg. For this venture, they’ve lightened the noise load, and taken on more drone drenched spooky ambient sounds. A guitar, modular synth and simply a computer were used. Long, evolving single to multi tones, interwoven and testing your patience. City of Prague Philharmonic accompany KTL on track 4 for a melancholic cinematic feel that starts out warm, and ends ice cold. The final track has french words, choppy moaning and a sense of uneasiness and mystery.
