Boy, this acts fast. It’s barely though your ears before
igniting the bloodstream. It starts out with a Batman-like
zippy riff and then Admiral Grey let’s loose with her
commanding vocals. She doesn’t so much “sing” as hit the
notes like ping-pong balls, at some points talking and
other times employing some kind of opera judo. A voice
like hers needs a panicky buzzsaw of sound and that’s
what Weasel Walter, Ceci Moss and Marc Edwards provide.
Weasel’s got effects drenched guitar played with the
subtlety of a tornado. Edwards’ drums rate as much
horsepower as beats-per-minute. The songs including a
killer Roxy Music cover, have a brisk, simple abandon
that defies their complexity. Hence, Cellular Chaos!
A tiny, primal and overwhelming release/phenomenon.
Nano rock mania! Must have more…
