Nugent, Cian – “Grass Above My Head 7″” – [VHF Records]

As I listened to this lovely example of instrumental guitar, I realized that there are many reasons I love Ireland, not the least of which is because of the artists who call it their homeland. Nugent’s guitar work makes you revel in the grass above your head, and runs like a river that carries you along through your war blues. Truly awesome and evocative.
