The liner notes tell us that only true rock fans willing to attend stadium concerts discovered and appreciated the talents of these bands from South Africa trying to extend their musical repertoire into lengthier, more psychedelic fare. Though they didn’t receive attention through airplay then, we can make up for that now by playing the heck out of this great compilation full of retro sounds, wah-wah and fuzz guitars, and psych triggers that recall older times in faraway places.
