Charalambides – “Exile” – [Kranky]

Psych folk from Christina and Tom Carter (who also records as Monument). Female vocals soar over simple acoustic accompaniment on some tracks, others that are quite processed and include synth. Lyrics are repetitive and the overall mood is quite depressing. Will appeal to DJs who like gorgeous vocals, somber mood, and fine guitar work.
