Secret Colors – “Confusion Control” – [Debacle Records]

Listening to this while driving on 280 was a challenge–the bubbling, underwater experience of the instrumental electronic percolation threatened to take me to a nether-sphere that has nothing to do with the alertness required for dealing with traffic. Occasional beats and a guitar strumming on 10 stood out in these pleasing forays into flowing, water-reminiscent themes. Take a deep breath and snorkel while you dream of frothing sea foam in a time lapse garden.
