This is the debut of LA based Chelsea Wolfe and limited to 500 on Pendu Sound Recordings. Recorded & mixed on a tascam 488, the sound of dust and tears thickens up the haunting vocals and lo fi muscianery. it’s doom witch folk sounds but far from what hard core-ists would consider that to be. These songs weave tales of empty wine bottles left with their false hopes on the side of the foothills outside of whorrywood. spinning the smoke into the tides & turning on itself, into the violent and majestic crash of the sea. stumbled upon, in shards, masked by blankets of clouds, there is no message tucked inside. held to the ear like a conch, the old port tumbler is filled with the sound of a somber, trusting, and yet vengeful, sprite. you will love this on your worst days and much more under the blinding sun.
