Hailing from Maryland, his British-accented voice echoes through these songs and intones lyrics you’ll want to read (they are printed on an insert)–sad lyrics describing how hard it is for humans to connect in this material world, but the frenetic, resilient beats (remember A-Ha’s “Take On Me”) and peppiness offer contrast and hope, a kind of two negatives making a positive effect.
