Rowland, Jess – “Endless Fall of The Infallible See & The Future Imagery+, Th” – [Edgetone Records]

Outstanding local keyboard-laced release, Rowland’s voice is kinda cool,
low but not husky, with a steady unsteadiness that made me think of
Robert Wyatt at times. The lyrics are clever and chase themselves around
the different songs on here, but like a DreamCatcher they pass right
through. The keys reminded me of Money Mark in a very good way, a
sort of sweetness, nicely complicated but still catchy. Pretty unique
in approach and definitely a different drop in the Edgetone bucket, albeit the second such.
