Guy, Barry/Riley, Howard/Stevens, John /Watts, Trevor – “Endgame” – [Japo Records]

Five very cool highly improvised tracks in the avant-garde vein. Lots of virtuoso licks, but well integrated. This quartet, all from Great Britain, played together for a while around the time of this recording (1979). Pushes the limits, but very listenable.

Japo Records got its name from “Jazz by Post”.
