Melvins – “Sludge Glamorous” – [From The Nursery]

This 12″ is outtakes from The Melvins’ “Nude With Boots” album released in a limited edition of 2000 pressed on silver/grey vinyl.. On Side A The Melvins cover “Dies Iraea” also known as the song from the intro to the Kubrick version of “The Shining”. This version runs 6m53s and it fucking rocks. They follow up with a 5m14s remix version of “It Tastes Better Than The Truth” which also kicks ass. The line-up on Side A is King Buzzo, Dale Crover, Jared Warren and Cody Willis. It was recorded and mastered by Toshi Kasai in 2008. On Side B the line up is King Buzzo, Dale Crover and Kevin Rutmanis and was recorded in 2000. The track “Youth of America” was written by Greg Sage of The Wipers and runs 9m16s. I am partial to the A side myself.
