Sun Ra & His Intergalactic Myth Science Solar Arkestra – “Antique Blacks, The” – [Art Yard]
Long unavailable, the release of this 1974 recording features tunes (except for Space is the Place) that are not available on other Sun Ra titles in the KFJC library. With electronics and wa-wa on the guitar, some cuts sort of have a groovy fusion sound. Spoken word/vocals cover political and social concepts in addition to the more typical “I am visiting Planet Earth” mutterings.
