OOIOO ??? Eye Remix EP {Thrill Jockey}

This EP puts the Eye (Boredoms) smack dab in the middle of OOIOO allowing him to tweak out some psychedelic dance remixes of the songs UMA & UMO.?? These reinvented Japanese songs were originally written by Boredoms cohort & OOIOO founder Yoshimi P-We.?? They???re extended bass heavy remixes that have a trippier sonic scape & rolling dance floor thuds on the first two tracks.?? The last two are the original experimental post rock versions featured on their Taiga release and emphasize drums & jungle rhythms with interspersed sound effects, flute & wild girl chants & screams.?? It???s cool but almost seems like a tease.?? Only two remixes plus the originals??? C???mon!?? But it???s one of those limited to 1,000 copies deals so I guess it???s a tease no matter how you slice it.?? Still, Eye puts a weird but wonderful spin on an already stellar creation.
