Little, Booker – “Booker Little ” – [Time]

Booker Little wanted a ???relaxed, not frantic feeling??? on these
1960 recordings. Virtuoso work from Little on trumpet, Scott
La Faro on bass, Roy Haynes on drums, and on piano: Wynton Kelly
(Bee Tee’s Minor Plea and Life’s A Little Blue) or Tommy
Flanagan (all other tracks). Nat Hentoff???s excellent
notes give some good info on Booker Little, but poignantly refer
to him in the present tense the year before he died.

Great cool jazz to play on a hot day.
