Mimaroglu, Ilhan ??? Coucou Bazar: All Religions Are Domains of the Devil A-Library CD {Dolor Del Estamago}This Turkish composer concocts & collects effervescently electronic chemical cultures that froth & frolic in a Petri dish.?? Popping & sputtering about the synthetic cells multiply & take on a life of their own.?? Squealing, sliding, & swooshing slowly about, these organisms etch out metallic symbols, thudding gently on stainless steel tables & muttering guttural groans.?? Ponder the probing jostling action & both ascending and descending blip frequencies as they squish in solution.?? Almost sounds like a Raymond Scott sequence set on lite-nightmare mode.?? This music concept was created for Jean Dubuffet???s Coucou Bazar live art piece with decorative odd sets & costumes; an animated painting.?? Dubuffet also composed & performed the last cut on this record so this really is a split LP release originally put out in 1973.?? You might broadly peg this under mimimalism on occasion & mostly Musique Concrete as it seems to encompass diversely odd organic samples & strange noises that pan the spectrum of sound.?? Very weird avant styles & space alienistic tendencies that is supremely intriguing! Comment on this review |
