David Froud uses a common sense approach to shaping malignant electro instrumentals; keep it simple & catchy with subtle hints of spooky variation.?? Shaded Mind is contaminated fuzzy synths, rhythmic low end, shrill tones & metronomic drum machine beat strategies.?? It might seem too minimal but this does actually exert some compelling robotic electro funkiness.?? There are enough breaks, tempo shifts, ambient sampling, & percussive kick to sustain each cut???s sinister edge.?? Shaded Mind is perhaps not as adventuresome as it could be, but Heuristic Audio isn???t looking to reinvent the wheel.?? Essential Electro Evil.
