[coll]: Good God!: Heavy Funk Covers of James Brown From All Over the World 1968 to 1974 12??? SOUL {Guerilla Reissues}

Covering the Godfather of Soul & makin??? it your own solid groove is tough.?? Good God! does James Brown???s gospel & heavy funk rhythms up right though.?? Not too far a stretch from the original cuts but still fresh & fun.?? Slick mellow funk, hyped up heavy medleys, punchy upbeat swagger gets sweeter with Brazilian beats & mounds o??? mambo.?? Some are lo-fi live jams while others are obscure in studio gems that hit those horns & organ vibes good & hard.?? Mostly male vocals with a superb capacity at mimicking the Minister of Super Heavy Funk though a sexy surprise female singer slinks down & sounds like Blondie or Glass Candy???s Ida No!?? Good God! has an incredibly good funk about it, but still wish some could???ve pushed things further out there and put more of a spin on that cover.
