Shearing Pinx play Haruspex, Divorcee Records, 7″Trio from Vancouver B.C.; 2 guitars, vox, drums &?? noise. They are involved in the noise-jazz scene in Vancouver. They helped start “Fake Jazz Wednesdays” a weekly jam that???s open to the public, and “Her Jazz Noise Collective” a network of women encouraging women to make music in a male-dominated and oriented scene. The band has recently released one tripped out no-wave 7″ after another having previously only recorded on cassettes and CDRs. The ???Haruspex??? EP is part of Shearing Pinx No Wave Revision Project with the three tracks recorded at various moments along the west coast of North America.Side A: Negaman recorded in 2006 by Jordan Koop at The Hive. Language (“fucking”) at the end of Side A. Side B: No/Face recorded at Davis, Ca. radio station KDVS in July of 2006.?? Sinking Ship recorded live (on mini disc) in Seattle in April of 2007. The band plays heavy, noisy, no-wave-influenced, experimental rock and roll. 3 chaotic and disjointed doped up weirdo jam freak out sessions… Shearing Pinx also in KFJC library on split 7 inch with “Silver Daggers”.
