The increasingly unusual Mouse on Mars assumes a variable character field as its model for Varcharz.?? Irritated synth beats, quirky breaks akin to experimental IDM & glitch electronica.?? It???s pretty weird but then so is the duo itself.?? It has a nice dance vibe overall but there???s a gritty layered effect & plenty of askew blips & hisses to throw you off.?? Nuanced pitch & rhythmic fluctuations keep you guessing?? It???s blotched & smeared with industrial thuds, post rock ruckus, and mechanistic interference but somehow retains a prominent & thick groove throughout.?? It feels playful, though doesn???t always seem to play nice.?? It???s a bit dark, semi-distorted and can throw a real tantrum before opting to freak out in different ways.?? Quite the emotional rollercoaster but a rather intriguing venture!
