Two menacingly dark & noisy tributes to Italian horror & slasher film maker Dario Argento. Slicing Grandpa and Penetration Camp devise music to slit throats by via New York and Puget Sound respectively. Side A is decidedly Slicing Grandpa???s scratchy discord strewn over repetitive bass. Wobbling sounds, hollow beats and garbled buried vocals similar to Jigsaw???s mini cassette recordings a la Saw (the movie) instill fear before the reel slowly winds to a halt. Side B is Penetration Camp???s dark ambient spookiness with toned out treble piano, massive rumbles, pounding crashes, roaring thrashings akin to some aggressive mecha-predator shark and dissonant high frequencies. It also tapers down to a vacuous hum towards the end. Perhaps it???s a gruesome indicator of someone???s grisly demise during the final curtain call? You can almost always tell by the stench of rotting corpse flesh and flies encircling the cadaverous remains. Murderously wicked!
