Stunt Rock “This Is Stunt Rock Vol. 3″ (Cock Rock Disco) (CD)

Recorded in 2005 in Illinois. An “audio essay” collage of sound bites and music samples. Wm. Flegal is the responsible party. Almost every track has language and or subject matter rendering this release unplayable except during safe harbor (Track 6 is squeaky clean.) The music samples are too numerous to elaborate upon but they range from Axel Rose to Neil Young to hip-hop. Recurring themes of hate, violence, sex, war, revolution, played out through sampling film dialogue. The subject matter sounds bleak but I felt comforted and entertained with this release and was able “to walk away with meaning and life changing affirmation” as the artist intended. There often lies a thin line between insanity and genius, Wm. Flegal might be straddling that line. Tell me what you think.
