Side A: Kool Teen! describe themselves as dub/comedy/nu-jazz. I thought it had an old garage band sound, repetitive yet as catchy as a virus. They are out of Oakland. 2 songs, “I Can’t Believe It” and “Post Post Man”.

Side B: Militant Children’s Hour is a one-man experimental rock group also out of Oakland, Ca. He wears costumes and rocks out! This also has a garage rock feel. 45 rpm is the right speed to play this at, it just sounds like he has sucked a bunch of helium. 2 songs, “Icky, Icky, Icky” and “Work”

Oakland has had quite the music scene for the last 6 years or so. These two projects are entertaining rock and roll fun.
