Exhaust – “Enregistreur ” – [Constellation]

Side project of Aidan Girt, drummer for Godspeed You Black Emperor, with two collaborators on bass and tapes. Tracks are all relatively quiet, ranging from 2 to 9 minutes. Exhaust works with a limited palette: two or three note bass drones, Girt’s light touch on the drums, and various taped and/or electronic manipulations. Interesting sounds for sure, but not enough variety for me over the course of a full-length CD.
