Sleeparchive – “Infrared Glow ” – [Sleeparchive]

Sleeparchive pulls no punches and few z’s in this deep
ep, on ultra-cool blue vinyl no less to counter the
“Infrared Glow.” More active than typical Basic Channel,
but definite dub traces. (German connections via Hardwax
distributing it appears.) Good work with static razors
right by the ears, like an expert barber, and plenty of
additional atmospherics to insure that repeat listens
will provoke a variety of side effects. It’s minimalism
but only in the hypnotic quality of the underbeat, well
cloaked in those aquatic dub washings. Well, packaging
is minimal as well, but the music really speaks volume.
A Pan Sonic precision connects all the morse dots and
bleep codes. Somewhere in a Chinese landfill lies your
first modem, and this is the soundtrack to its dreams.
If you are looking to trace the phonelines, Stephan
Metzger is the alias of the guy linked to Sleeparchive
but he’s an android built by an IDM robot, and the
ringtone of his soul has already been transplanted into
someone else, who called from a payphone on “Galactic
Blob.” Confused? The music will sort you out…
