Bulging pulsing guitars & falsetto tautologies,
Holy and Henry Cow this is a dandy tantric
release. It draws you inward, to the amplifier
at the center of your soul. But there’s more
than 6 strings to the power of God here,
cool garbage can percussion on #2, munchkin
chorus on #3, drone shadows on tracks, and
much-loved art damaged hangover remnants here
and there. Bookended by two lengthy tracks like
twin black holes that warp time and its
signatures. Cool flute and horn glory on the
title track and closer. It really feels
just like the beginning…satisfying while
leaving us starving for more. The last track
really is quite monolithic. Another Chicago
band filled with purpose…. -Thurston Hunger
