Morten Rasz – “Void Chimes” – [Obfuscated Records]

These three tracks run the gamut on the sound spectrum, so watch your levels! 1 is minimal to nonexistent sound, which is apropos of the “Void” part of its title. I wondered if dogs could hear this on another plane, although there were intermittent buzzing noises, growing whirs, and spaceship sounds, building to minimal thunder toward the end. 2 was my favorite, starting with crackling sounds, moving on to water, thunder, sirens, slow raindrops like heat racing along a radiator, whirring, bubbling, percolating nether sounds, car wash, followed by silence, then a noise assault toward the end. 3 had more drum sounds, vibrating whirs, propelling womb sounds from within a washer/dryer. At times it felt like a hearing test, peppered with outer limits effects.
