<< O >> “Numero 0″ [Antenna]

This avant garde French minimalist duo is a rather mysterious entity. Similar to Torino, Italy’s Larsen, their individual identities and visages are intimately protected & profoundly concealed. Their ideology revolves around complete anonymity, opting instead to reveal themselves through atypical sound waves. The unique thought process behind this philosophy stems from the simple notion that ones? identity is irrelevant regarding music & art. Although, ironically, ‘O? does not consider their abstract art to even be music nor they, themselves, actual artists. They believe that the listener is the one true artist who is conceptualizing ‘O? creations as music. That ‘no audience? concept fits perfectly with their modulating noise aesthetic. ‘O? provides you with mild distorted tidbits, variable metal file scrapes and brass pot sproings, tweaky steel string pluckings, raucous feedback, clinking echo static ambience, crackling muffled chamber resonance, body thumps & claps, chiming bells, and avant guitar meanderings. It seems to constantly shift in unpredictable directions panning noises and tones across channels. It can be fairly discordant and frenzied but also ease into soothing bizarre beauty, sometimes simultaneously. 3WR: Experimental French Connection
