Idler Arms – “Kubelik Unbugged” – [BUFMS]

Idler Arms (which, by the way, are supports for steering linkages in automobiles) recorded some boombox tapes recorded in 1987 and 1988 in Chico and was made up of Larry Crane (Vomit Launch), Mark Evans, and Lucian Tielens (Bren’t Lewiis Ensemble) on guitars, drums, bass and keyboard. I noticed a credit for tape rescue, so while listening I assumed that they had been heavily processed with added noise and electronics, but that is not the case. Amazingly, these excerpts have no additional effects other than crossfades. Very crazy, noisy, engaging. Recommended!
