Fly – “Year of The Snake” – [ECM GmbH Records]

FLY is Mark Turner on sax, Larry Grenadier on bass, and Jeff Ballard on drums. Very accessible but original, clean sound, fine playing – I especially enjoyed certain bass parts. Pretty upbeat jazzy sound with a tinge of melancholy, but some tracks such as the last two have a more experimental, contemporary classical sound. Very cool.
