This stellar release features Jordan on saxophone, Harrison Bankhead on bass and cello, and Warren Smith on drums. Jordan’s improvisational skills stand out, with long pieces sandwiching a shorter one. The last track is indeed “coming down blue” with its bass and cello accents toward the end.
