Modality – “Particle City” – [House of Watts]

This is a surprisingly delightful album of instrumental electronic sounds, guitar, drums, bass, keyboards, and synth. Track titles indicate the theme of city life, and the insert “Notes from Particle City” is a poem revealing some of the concepts behind the album. Overall there is a gentle spaciness to this, punctuated by occasional guitar rockouts (B2), nature sounds (A4), bongos (B1), and more. Listen for yourself.
